Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to publish anything?
The publishing process depends on your comfort level, as well as your current systems and processes. We can simply ship the content to you when it's complete, we can schedule in draft mode for your approval, or we can publish for you. If you want us to publish for you, we will have to coordinate easy access, but we have methods for this.
What counts as “one round of edits”?
Generally speaking, one round of edits is one revision per piece of content. We try not to get overly particular about this one, but we do want to keep the revision and editing process as streamlined and efficient as possible. So, we ask that you submit one consolidated set of changes all at one time, if possible. If you need more revision flexibility, simply add the Editorial Upgrade.
What if we need help planning our topics?
We usually direct clients to look at their frequently asked questions, recent intake calls, industry news, ideal client profile, and current offerings to help them determine topics that will be of interest and help grow their business. If you need help with this process, you can book one-time consultation sessions or add the Editorial Upgrade for regular topic and scripting support.
Can you match our brand voice?
Yes, and we’ll capture all of your brand guidelines during onboarding. If you have examples of past content you like, we’ll use that as a baseline.
How does onboarding work and how long does setup take?
Onboarding is typically a 60-90 minute session, held in the 1st week, where you share all of your banding guidelines, brand assets, goals, channel access (for publishing), and we design a content schedule and cadence that will meet your needs. Some clients even complete a good portion of this process via email.
What channels do you publish to?
From Marketecs Engine, we publish to YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, plus email newsletter sending. We will also publish a blog posts to most major website platforms (Wordpress is our preferred platform).
What does 'video polishing' mean?
For long form video editing, we will do what we call 'polishing'. This means we will clean up any mistakes, remove 'filler words' such as 'um', remove any long gaps or retakes, correct any captioning, add captioning with your brand style, add in a few light zoom in/out effects for depth, and add in any intro, outro, or mid-roll templates you have. For videos under 15-min, this could also include adding in provided slide overlays or graphics.
Polish editing does not include animations, motion graphics, b-roll, creating graphics, or other more advanced video editing features.
What if our videos are longer than 20 minutes?
We want your content to be compelling and drive results, so we understand that doesn't mean 'watching the clock' when you hit record. The 15-20 minute rule is meant to be an average. The overall goal is to create content that your ideal clients want, so if we determine that means you need 30 minute videos, then we will recommend you add the extended video plan. This is all part of the consultation conversation.
What if we miss our recording deadline?
The goal is to set-up a schedule and a process that works for your team, and then get into a rhythm that becomes natural. However, we know this can sometimes take some time, revisions, and then life still happens. So, we aim to be as flexible as possible. Any 'missed' content can be made up within 6 months.
So, essentially if you miss a month, you could get 2 content stacks next month.
Do you handle comments, DMs, or community management?
Not in this package. This is a content production + scheduling engine (not social media or inbox management). However, we do have automated solutions for some of these issues in Marketecs Engine (the platform you'll get access to).
